Almıla Kından Cebbari (TÜRÇEV General Manager) and Prof. Dr. Gökşen Çapar (Ankara University Water Management Institute Manager) who are the Co-Chairs of the Organizing Committee of the ‘Environmental Education Congress for Sustainable Future’ to be held on February 10-12, in partnership with the Foundation for Environmental Education in Turkey and Ankara University Water Management Institute, will be the guests of the panel titled ‘Water Management and Effective Use of Water in Turkey’ organized by Atılım University Faculty of Business Administration.

Water management is of great importance in terms of protecting and efficiently using water resources that are indispensable for life. Factors such as industrialization, population growth and global warming threaten water resources and make it difficult to distribute water fairly. Sustainable use of water in urban, agricultural and industrial areas is necessary to prevent future water crises. Therefore, an integrated and interdisciplinary approach that takes into account social, economic and environmental factors should be adopted in water management. ‘Water Management’, one of the themes of the ‘Environmental Education Congress for Sustainable Future’, is among the most important issues for building a sustainable future today. The congress will increase the sharing of information between experts, academics and water managers, allowing for the sharing of ideas for the improvement of water management and the development of more effective solutions."
